I believe happiness is a choice that will last as long as one allows it to last.
My happiness is my choice. I choose to be happy. I don't ignore the unpleasantness of life but I don't have to live forever in that circumstance...I'm just passing through. I know good/bad times fluidly change but my happiness is steady, no matter what - or who - comes or goes.
I make it a default setting in my life, it's the beacon that guides me through it all. I choose that place, that state, that mentality above the chaos and chaotic people of this life and God's grace allows me to stay in it.
